Senior Process Engineer

Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, optimize, and oversee wastewater treatment processes while integrating advanced modeling, simulation, and control strategies.
  • Employ specialized software for modeling and simulation (SIMBA#) to analyze, predict, and enhance wastewater treatment system performance.
  • Develop and implement control strategies to optimize process efficiency, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Conduct process evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and troubleshoot technical issues related to process performance. and control systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate and commission control systems for wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations on process modeling, simulation outcomes, and control system recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in wastewater treatment, with a focus on modeling, simulation, and controls.
  • Proficiency in modeling and simulation software (preferred SIMBA#) and experience in control strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and an understanding of regulatory compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and optimize control strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with programming languages for control systems (e.g., MATLAB, Octave, Python).
  • Familiarity with advanced control algorithms and machine learning applied to wastewater treatment.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies for process optimization.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally travel to team meetings; some overnight travel may be required.
