Season’s Greetings from inCTRL Solutions, we wish you and your loved ones a happy holiday season and all the best for 2019.
2018 was the best year for inCTRL Solutions so far: We have added two senior programmers, a junior process specialist, and an executive assistant. With David Martin as our new Chief Commercial Officer, we have a dedicated and renowned expert to support our continued growth. Our team has been involved in a range of amazing projects, and we are grateful to our clients for selecting us to work on innovative strategies to better design and operate wastewater and biogas facilities.
In 2019 we plan to unveil several new software releases as the result of our 2018 efforts. Our SIMBA# water and SIMBA# biogas models have been heavily extended with new features, and we have been working on multiple new optimization tools for the biogas industry. After a complete re-write, the 2nd generation Monitoring & Control Platform (M&CP) is nearly complete, and we are excited to announce the upcoming release of the Data Management and Analytics Tool, which will revolutionize data consolidation for process engineers.
We are very proud of our team’s personal accomplishments over the past year. Collectively our team took part in over ten presentations at various prestigious water conferences and published four papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Oliver Schraa won the 2018 ISA Excellence in Technical Presentation Award, and the Best Paper Award at the 2018 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Symposium. After finishing his term as the WEF Biofilm Interest Group Chair, Oliver is stepping in as the Chair of the Facility Operations Symposia for WEFTEC. Oliver is also a co-author of a Water Research review paper on Modelling anaerobic, aerobic and partial nitritation-anammox granular sludge reactors.
Ivan Miletic led this year’s inCTRL full day workshop Introduction to Advanced Data Analytics prior to WEFTEC 2018 and presented a well-received paper on Automated Performance Tracking of Sensors and Control Loops.
Leiv Rieger presented in two webinars (IWA and US Department of Energy), led an interactive module at the WEFTEC instrumentation workshop, directed a mobile session on nutrient sensors, and presented at two regional conferences. Leiv has also been appointed to the Core Editorial Board of Water Science & Technology.
Alex Rosenthal delivered two papers on mainstream partial nitritation-anammox at WEFTEC, presented on dynamic modeling of anaerobic digestion at the International Biomass Conference and Expo, and authored a paper in Biotechnology and Bioengineering on novel biofilm imaging and image analysis techniques. Alex is also taking a leading role in the establishment of inCTRL US to better serve our clients and push the boundaries of wastewater and biogas engineering.
The inCTRL Solutions team appreciates your continued support and wishes you an exciting and successful 2019!
